Canvas Upper Pillings, Dark Area, Cross Stitching Lines Note- Since these boots are going for a raw natural look, the minimally refined canvas uppers definitely reflect this. Besides the dying of the canvas, the uppers natural textures and the durable textured feel that weaved canvas is known for is basically left untouched. This is why some cross stitching thread areas have noticeable vertical/horizontal lines. Also, there is spot pilling here and there. Lastly, there is a small dark thread area in the toe area of the right shoe. I’m not sure if it’s dirt or the canvas thread is dark toned in color. If you want to feel one with nature, these canvas natural looking boots would be a great choice for you or someone who loves the outdoors. Please check out the pictures at the end of the picture section to see the most obvious natural vertical canvas line and the dark spot in the toe area before making any purchase decision. Thanks. Boot Shape Creases/Tilt Note- These UGG Neumel boots canvas uppers are soft and pliable. It is not structurally stiff & rigid like a pair of basketball shoes or leather boots. This is why you can literally bend and smash the canvas uppers to make it fit in say a carry-on bag. The softness and natural unrestricted movement is why these UGG Neumel canvas boots are so popular. The boots will easily twist & flex to your foot’s natural movement unlike if you were wearing a traditional structured stiff boot where your feet move & flex with the boot instead of the boot moving & flexing with your feet. I know this may sound cliche, but wearing this natural unrestricted movement canvas boots will almost feel like you’re wearing nothing at all or darn close to it. LOL! With all the advantages these boots have to offer there is one minor cosmetic issue with having a soft flexible upper. The boots don’t hold its shape like a traditional pair of structurally stiff boots/shoes. That’s why there are soft natural wrinkles & creases in the canvas uppers as you can see in my listing pictures. Also, the right shoe is tilted in as you can see in the isolated right shoe picture towards the end of the picture section. This tilt was caused by the store piling other shoes on top of it while in transit and storage before placing it out on the store’s retail shoe racks. I wouldn’t worry to much about this tilt or creases because once you put on these canvas UGG boots your feet will fill out the majority of these obvious creases and tilt the shoe back to upright. If you want too you can insert shoe trees in the shoes to help maintain the shape when not in use if the unstructured shape issues bothers you. I would like to add my pictures are real & not fluffed up like a lot of pictures online that show the boots looking crease/wrinkle free & streamlined. Because trust me, most without the original UGG box are not. Oxidation Rubber Outsoles Note- The rubber outsole on these shoes has typical surface oxidation on it. This oxidation is inevitable because of the type of soft flexible rubber used in the outsole. Since the rubber outsole is somewhat transparent, some oxidation areas are darker in certain areas. The good news is the oxidation is only cosmetic an not a structural issue. Examples of oxidation are surface haziness and some areas of the outsoles are darker than other areas. Surface oxidation is common for rubber products. Surface haze or dulling is something you see all the time on rubber balls, rubber bands or anything else you can think of that’s made of soft flexible rubber. Faux Fur Shoe Lining Note- Every inch inside of these boots are lined with this soft white faux fur. The insole, the inside of the tongue and the sock lining all have faux fur on it.
