eBay A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this item. Here is a superb fossil fish from the world-famous fossil beds of Fossil Lake, Green River Formation, Wyoming. From the Eocene, 52 million years ago. This is an adult Mioplosus, a feared predator of Fossil Lake. Measuring nearly 12″ in length, from tip to tip, this specimen is complete with excellent ray fins, caudal fin (tail) and a strong vertebrae. Nice, natural brownish-black pigment complete this fossil. As a bonus, a few sharp teeth are visible! Professionally framed in a handsome, natural finish barn-wood frame. This item would display nicely in any rustic or urban-modern rustic setting. Ready to hang and securely backed, this piece measures approximately 16.4″ x 11.2″ and weighs 7 lbs. 7.30 oz.
