Overtightening may cause the ring to warp and prevent it from turning freely. ü The Nylon Muffler Strip is one molded piece that separates the ball bearings. Where the two ends of the strip meet is a natural expansion gap. This gap is intentional and provides for smooth rotation. ü The aluminum housing is durable and resistant to rust. However, to ensure long life, the ball bearings are steel and will rust if they get wet. Ensure the bearings are not used in a wet environment.
