They are glossy inside and out and have a beautiful mixture of turquoise, silver and gold in the motif. Some sellers call these Christmas bowls as other pieces have ornaments on them. These bowls would complement the dinnerware with ornaments but would also stand alone or blend with other pieces of those colors. I found no chips, cracks or scratches. Please look carefully at the last picture for a small area of missed gloss finish on the rim of one. It is just under 0.5″ long but difficult to see. (Perhaps a coating of clear fingernail polish would shine it up?). The bottoms of the bowls, rims only, aren’t as glossy, presumably from shelf rest.
